Can also be used as a powerbank!!

This little hydrajolt speaker is awesome! It's lightweight, but very sturdy and durable. It's the perfect size to take kayaking and the built-in carabiner clip rocks. I can easily secure the speaker to my kayak with it, so I no longer have to worry about losing it. Even if it does fall out or my kayak flips over, there's no reason to fret because it's IP67 waterproof. I can attest that it truly is because I forgot to attach it to the kayak and I accidentally knocked it out. I freaked, but thank goodness it floats! What a lifesaver! I'm thrilled with the high quality sound that you get out of this compact little unit. It's crystal clear and the volume goes high enough that it can be heard from quite a ways away. It's got good range and keeps a good connection to my phone. The light function adds a little extra to the unit. There are 11 LED light modes that can change with the music. The battery life is fantastic. We can be out on the water all day without worrying about it dying. All of that stuff is really great, but my favorite thing is that it can be used as a powerbank to charge your phone. You don't know how many times that has saved my behind. I'm the worst about going out in the kayak and forgetting to fully charge my phone first. 😳😬 I'm impressed with the sturdiness, design, sound and functionality that this speaker overs. It's well worth buying.

It’s ok.

It’s a ok speaker. Not very loud and extremely poor battery life. A full charge only last 3-4 hours.

Good sound quality, but not great

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to my older Bose Mini Bluetooth speaker. The price is good and I like the "all weather" aspect of it. Sounds pretty good at low to medium volumes. At higher volume, the sound start getting fuzzy or splattering as if the speaker is already blown out. I turned it down and it is fine. Just not as full sounding as the Bose.

Decent speaker when it works

The speaker itself seems to be okay. Sound quality is decent for a small, portable speaker. After fully charging before the first use, the battery has lasted well and hasn't been recharged for a few days. It has been used with a laptop to watch shows and I don't know how many hours of actual use it has gotten, but we have no complaints there.Unfortunately, this speaker did not work with Windows 10. The sound would intermittently cut out. Many attempts at troubleshooting were tried with no success in resolving this issue. The drivers are automatically installed for windows and Altec Lansing does not publicly offer and drivers for the device. I called them and explained the situation and they did not have any suggestions other than to contact Microsoft. I really don't expect Microsoft is going to do anything about it and I suggest that Altec Lansing contacts Microsoft to work with them on supporting their device. I don't think the end consumer has any place trying to develop Microsoft support for an Altec Lansing, guys. If you wish to hire me to mediate communication between you two, please feel free to reach out.In the meantime, the device works as expected on Ubuntu 22.04. Unfortunately, the proprietary DRM implemented by streaming services does not support devices running linux very well. So now we have working speakers and video that intermittently drops because we have to use this operating system for the speaker to work while streaming. Which was the reason the speaker was purchased to begin with. This whole experience could serve as a case study as to how proprietary software ultimately screws the consumer at the cost of your own time and money. I don't care if it is the fault of Microsoft or Altect Lansing. That's between you to figure out. Based in the time troubleshooting to no avail and the cost of the item, I really can't recommend purchasing if you intend to use this with a Windows machine. It seems to work great for linux devices including Ubuntu and Android.
